With 15 plus years of experience implementing corporate-wide business I.T. systems, Artisan Technologies has continuously refined its processes for delivering reliable business centric solutions. More than most, we recognize that a corporate-wide rollout, upgrade or migration depends heavily on careful planning to complete a project effectively. When executing a project we break it down into three crucial processes proven to be effective at mitigating disruption to the client’s business operations. Depending on the complexity of an initiative, the cradle to grave process for a project might go as follows:

Methology Discovery
A dedicated project manager begins by meeting with the client’s management team to document the scope and objectives of the project including any compliancy requirements. Department heads are consulted to identify and assess any unique processes or procedures that the new system may impact or replace. One of our Engineers then works with internal I.T. staff and/or hardware and software vendors to indentify current systems that the initiative may affect, or will be dependent upon to function properly. An internal planning document is compiled outlining design, configuration, testing and deployment tasks before a second client meeting is called with the intent to uncover any previously unidentified issues that may impact any part of the implementation process.

Planning
During the planning phase the entire project is broken down into manageable, step by step tasks. Required equipment and software is assembled and a working document created with design, testing and deployment tasks assigned as appropriate. Through each step of the process, vendors are consulted as needed and quality checks completed and reviewed by senior management as a measure to help identify any unexpected issues in or out of our control.
Implementation
The careful planning and coordination of a project can mean the difference between a seamless deployment and a total disaster resulting in lost productivity. Prior to the go live date, an all-hands meeting is called to inform management and staff of the activities being performed and what to expect during the implementation.

Debriefing
Upon completion of the implementation, our engineering staff prepares your internal I.T. staff to assume responsibility for the administration and maintenance of the new system(s). Basic administrator training is always included in the scope of the project. In some cases a client will require extended support in which Artisan engineers continue to monitor, maintain and perform troubleshooting services for a period sufficient for the clients internal support staff to build the capabilities needed to thoroughly support the new initiative. More often, clients will engage us for managed services support on an ongoing basis so that their internal staff can focus on more business critical I.T. processes and improvements.
